The rules for using MERCHIT to build and run your store, in plain words.

About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and MERCHIT for using MERCHIT: this website, the seller dashboard, the stores built on it, and the MERCHIT driver app.
By creating an account or using MERCHIT, you agree to these terms. If you use MERCHIT for a business, you agree to them on that business's behalf.
Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to open a store. Use your real name and a phone number or email address that belongs to you.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for everything done from your account, and you should tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.
Your store and what you sell
Your store's content (its name, logo, photos, product descriptions and prices) stays yours, and you are responsible for it. You allow MERCHIT to store, show, resize and deliver that content so we can run your store.
Only sell what you are legally allowed to sell. Stores may not offer anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen or dangerous, including weapons and drugs, or anything that copies someone else's brand or work without permission.
Orders and your customers
Sales happen between you and your customers. MERCHIT provides the tools, but is not the seller and is not a party to the sale.
You set your prices, confirm and deliver orders, collect payment (including cash on delivery), and handle returns, refunds and complaints, following the laws that apply to your business.
Your store collects your customers' names, phone numbers and addresses so you can deliver their orders. Use that information only to serve those customers, keep it private, and never sell it.
Plans and billing
Some features need a paid plan. Prices are listed on our Pricing page in US dollars and are charged in Iraqi dinars through our payment provider.
A paid plan lasts for the period you choose (a month or a year). If it isn't renewed, your store moves back to the free plan and keeps its products and orders.
Fees already paid are not refundable, unless the law requires otherwise or we agree to it. If we change our prices, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you before then.
Using MERCHIT fairly
Don't try to break into, overload or interfere with MERCHIT or other people's stores. Don't send spam, pretend to be someone else, collect other sellers' or customers' data, or resell MERCHIT without our written permission.
Suspending or closing a store
You can stop using MERCHIT at any time and ask us to close your account.
We may suspend or remove a store that breaks these terms, puts customers at risk, or that we are required by law to take down. When we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.
Our responsibility
We work hard to keep MERCHIT running and your data safe, but MERCHIT is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.
As far as the law allows, MERCHIT is not responsible for lost profits, indirect losses, or disputes between you and your customers or couriers. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid MERCHIT in the 12 months before the problem.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as MERCHIT grows. If a change matters, we will tell you in your dashboard or by message before it takes effect. Using MERCHIT after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws in force in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
